How to find St Chad's House – and where to park
The postcode is WS13 6DN Most satnavs will take you straight there.
St Chad's House is only 250m from the cathedral by foot, but over a mile by road. It is in Cross Keys, the opposite side of the pedestrianized city centre.
There are two car parks close by St Chad's House. Provided there is no auction taking place park at Richard Winterton, the auctioneer's. Ignore the two signs in Cross Keys saying ‘no public parking beyond this point' – there is - at Winterton's where it is £3 for the whole day. If an auction is taking place, park in the lower long term level of the multi storey, on the right. St Chad’s House is the next building on the left after Winterton's.
If you have no satnav
For your convenience, you can download our printable, directions pdf and map below.
If you do not have a satnav and approach the city from the North, South or West head for Lichfield City Station and the junction marked A on the printable map. Here follow A5127, Birmingham Road, past the station, signed towards Burton A38. At the next proper junction, with traffic lights and a large Richer Sounds store on the corner, turn left into Greenhill (B on printable map).
If approaching from the East this junction is the one after Tesco's - turn right into Greenhill.
At the next traffic lights (very soon) turn right into George Lane. At the mini-roundabout turn left into Lombard Street and follow this round – it becomes Cross Keys. Park as above.
Arriving by bus or train
By train use Lichfield City station and head through the town centre. The bus station is opposite the train station. The printable map above will help you.
